St. George celebrates the beginning of Lent with its Annual Mardi Gras Dinner. This
is a forty-day period of fasting and soul-searching when faithful parishioners say
goodbye to meat, fish, alcohol and other fleshly pleasures.
Parishioners and guests come to enjoy an evening of dancing, celebrating, and having
a good time before Lent. A traditional chicken dinner with macaroni and kapama sauce
is served along with a live and silent auction of various donated items.
